Powder Metallurgy Lab

To show the different between powder metal part and normal metal, we cranked a powder metal part and a penny. Power metal part is not very impressive but how much a penny can be cranked down to is really impressive. We managed to crank a penny down to 0.0012" from a initial thickness of 0.053". The world record is 0.00013" according to my class professor.

The picture is kinda blur but I'm lazy to take another.

I thought that y'all will continue to crank till y'all either break the world record or break the penny.

The cranking tools that we use cannot crank it anymore cause the penny is already too thin for it to crank.
