It is fine in a lab work, but in the real world this are things that you need to look out for.

To the customers (be it wholesaler, supplier or end user), it doesn't matter what had happened. Once a product does not meet the standard specified, it is a defect.

If an end-user used the screw driver and stupidly hurt himself, that idiot can suit the manufacturer for that and there's a high chance that the idiot will win because the product does not meet the specifications. If that happens, there will be millions of dollars involved because of a stupid screw driver and an idiot user.

My prof told us not to underestimate the power of stupidity..
